Removed the old poptop seals, cleaned the fiberglass top and installed new seals today. Also installed some poptop struts to help with raising the roof. :)

    More stuff happening!

I was sick of looking at the hole where the rear heater used to be so I designed this little ditty and 3D printed it out. I'm pretty happy with the result.

It simply snaps into place. :)

My 3D printer has been busy shooting out ABS plastic loveliness!! Here's some sun visor clips to replace the cracked original ones...

    And these curtain clips. :)

And this sweet gauge pod that slips into the ashtray hole in the dash.

Also replaced the broken original headlight adjusters.

Woah, you delivered right away, haha :D
I wonder how much does a 3D printer cost. It seems really really useful, but I don't know if I could afford one.

    More upgrades as of late.

I designed some custom heater lever knob ends a while back, made a red one for the heat. ;-)

Installed one of my custom gauge pods in the ashtray hole. (Note: I have to order a proper VDO tach.)

I picked up these trick driving light brackets, I love them! Installed a set of small LED lights for now. Not sure if I want to go with a set of Hella 500's or keep them small....

What are your initial thoughts on the Power Flex bushings? I am about to order some for my 944, but was unsure between the purple and the black.

    Obviously the purple is better

I mean purple does look 100x cooler than black. I will also be using the vehicle more for street use than race, so I am leaning towards purple. According to their site they give these specs for each:

    PowerFlex Street (Purple):
    Replacement Performance Susension Bushings

    • Performance
    • Durability
    • Safety
Powerflex Black Series (Race): Ultimate Performance Bushings Offering The Most Precise And Accurate Alignment

    • Designed For The Track
    • Ready To Race

    Also,
    • yellow (70A): firmer than stock but offering some compliance for NVH
    • purple (80A): firmer than stock with less compliance, balancing NVH and stiffness
    • black (95A): very stiff for maximum preservation of suspension geometry

Maybe a separate thread would be a better place for this topic... ;-)
