    Well this past week I finally got around to changing the valve cover gasket

    It was beyond bad had to dive into it. While I had everything apart I decided to also change the intake manifold gasket, intake shifter rod bushings and coolant bottle.

    I went at it this past week had sometime off so did a motor detail. Here's some pics of the process:

    What did you use to paint the manifold? It looks really good with the polished valve cover.

    2000 degree high temp paint it came out flat black

    This is my second mk3, had a clean Windsor blue one before I picked up my 24v. Had a chance to get another so I jumped on it

    Are Volkswagen good cars? I'd really like to get one. My budget is pretty tight too, but they seem like they are pretty reliable and won't let you down. Thanks!

    EDIT: also, your car is looking great!
