I've been looking to get out of my MK6 and into a MK7 R for the last 6 months or so. The main reason being I've had a MK6 for over 5 years and my enjoyment of owning one was gone. I honestly never thought the process would take so long but I finally ended up with this: 2016 Base with a MT It is honestly light years ahead of my MK6s in all aspects. The MK6 R especially. Power delivery is so much smoother, no lagginess to speak of. The MK7 doesn't feel as heavy or sluggish and feels much more refined overall. I'm not sure how much modding I'll do because of how great the car is as it sits. I have a JB1 piggyback that will be going in soon and I may spring for a set of led tails. I'm going to avoid any suspension decisions until spring.
