Another mini project :)

    Picked up an old metal shear from 1915, all cast iron.

    Here is an add from 1911 of a similar model made in buffalo.

    Here is where it is now after stripping and repainting. Missing some of the original accessories, but for what I need it will work well.

    It will be much easier to cut the metal for patch panels etc.

    Sharpened the blades and adjusted and it slices a piece of paper like nothin'

    Craigslist picked up for $220, which I think was a great price.

    It says 18g iron sheet. What that is in low carbon steel, not sure, at least 18g, probably 16 is doable.

    i read that title as you purchasing a vintage Mini Cooper and were looking to restore it!. I guess the vintage shear is kinda neat ;)

    If I could find a vintage mini for 220 I'd buy it!
