Just a heartfelt goodbye to all of those on the forum (even though I never really posted). I have since traded in my 2012 Golf TDI 6m through the emissions buyback and bought an Evo X. I hope we can still be friends now that I have left the Euro game.

An evo x sounds like a way better purchase

My miles per gallon went way down but my smiles per gallon went way up. That golf did look beautiful with those wheels I bought from you and the car will be missed.

Well a bit of a back story I used to have a 100 mile daily commute to work and recently moved closer to work so I don't need the MPG and missed AWD. I don't care for haldex AWD so the Golf R wasn't gonna cut it (that was my initial choice since true Torsen Quattro is gone now). And everyone has WRXs and STIs and I wanted a short wheel base AWD car that isn't a Subaru and doesn't use haldex so there goes A3, S3 and Golf R. And I'm not paying 40 grand for a Focus RS. Sorry for the TLDR.

Very nice! Always loved EVO's, they've just always been way out of my price range. Someday I guess. I'd love to find a clean, unmolested EVO VIII, but chances on that lol.

    Actually there's one on craigslist:

...But yeah the monthly payment is 2 dollars cheaper than my TDI was (although I did get about 9 grand from the buyback to use to register it and put cash down) but it's the insurance that kills you. My TDI was $76 a month and the Evo is $142 and that's with an immaculate driving record, being over 26, and coupling it with my homeowners.

It all starts at the bank my dude. I never thought I'd get financed for my Evo, but I did. Give it a shot.

Probably, but I just want a manageable daily driver I'm not looking to build a street monster. Full turboback with an STM open-source tune coming eventually and then I'm done. It currently has an intake and COBB stage 1 off the shelf tune via accessport.
